Re Veneering Kitchen Cabinets, Paper Backed PSA Veneer and 2 Ply Wood Backed PSA Veneer For Veneering Kitchen Cabinets

Q. I would like to re veneer my kitchen cabinets using the peel and stick veneer.  Does the peel and stick veneer really stick for 20+ years? Will the edges stay smooth, with no chipping or edge peeling?

A. We have lots of customers who use the peel and stick veneers for kitchen cabinet refacing.  My customers have been using the peel and stick veneers since 1974, and I’ve never had a single complaint.  If your cabinet surfaces have dings and dents, the 2 ply wood backed peel and stick veneer is the way to go.  If the cabinet surfaces are smooth, you can use the paper backed peel and stick veneer.Be sure to prep the surfaces correctly.Check out my videos and tutorials on my website (www.veneerfactoryoutlet.com) .

Re the edges – Not to worry.Just chamfer the edges with sandpaper to make them smooth. They will not splinter or come loose over time.
