Q.I am ordering a 2' x 8' mahogany piece from you and making a leaf for a table the table thickness is 13/16 so i would like to put a backer board on the substrate material looking through you inventory, i see no cheap product to use. what would you recommend for the veneer on the underside of the leaf? Thanks, Robby
- A . Hi Robby,
Thanks for your email. You can put a veneer on the back that is the same "type" of construction -For example, if you put a paper backed veneer on the front, you should put a paper backed veneer on the back. It doesn't have to be the same species. You could use a less expensive species, such as Maple.
