Q. How flexible are the paper backed and wood backed veneers? Can I use a hair drier or a heat gun to soften the veneers to make them more bendable?
A. All of our wood veneers have been “tenderized” by running them through a machine that makes them more flexible. The paper backed veneers are very flexible. The 2 ply wood backed veneers are thicker and less flexible.
For most applications, the paper backed veneers don’t need to be “softened” for bending.
I suggest that you run some experiments before attempting to heat a wood veneer to make it more pliable.
